Discover beginner to expert paper tole kits that turn images into layered, dimensional art
SELECT YOUR CHALLENGE LEVEL
Paper tole is a hands-on craft where you cut and layer pieces of the same image to create a raised, sculpted version of the original picture. The result looks like a painting that’s come to life — with shadows, curves, and depth. Think of it as a mix between sculpture and illustration, all made from paper. It’s easy to start and deeply satisfying — and we’ve added a modern twist with fantasy themes, glowing LED kits, and eye-popping designs.
Tole King is a creative brand devoted to reviving and reinventing the forgotten art of paper tole — a craft that turns flat prints into rich, dimensional artworks by carefully layering, shaping, and arranging cutouts. We design stunning print sets, kits, and posters that give you everything you need to make your own 3D masterpieces. Whether you're decorating your space, picking up a relaxing new hobby, or searching for a unique gift — Tole King has something magical for you.
Believe it or not, but, Tole King is Just one Aussie artist on a mission to make paper tole cool again. But the real “king” is you — the one bringing these images to life.
Currently, at the time of writing this, (July 2025) only prints are available since we are in infancy stages, but within 6 months the following will all be available. ---

Each paper tole project follows three basic steps: Cut out repeated elements from printed sheets (like wings, leaves, eyes, etc.) Shape and curl the cutouts slightly using a stylus or shaping tool. Layer and glue them on top of the base image using spacers or foam dots. The result? A beautiful, sculpted picture that looks like it’s leaping off the page. We include visual guides, step-by-step instructions, and beginner tips with every kit.
A standard Tole King kit includes: Multiple copies of the same high-resolution image, printed on 200gsm matte A4 paper A base sheet and detailed cutting guides Foam spacers or adhesives for layering Optional add-ons like LED kits or printed instructions (Tools are sold separately, but basic scissors or craft knives work fine to start) We also provide access to digital instructions and tutorials.
Since we’re just launching, most of our early reviews are from testers and in-house builds — but they’ve all said the same thing: "I didn’t think I could make something this beautiful. I was shocked by how 3D it looked when I was done." As the community grows, we’ll be showcasing real customer builds, before/after shots, and community creations — all featured on our website and social media.
